别名: Phaseolus vulgaris, starch blocker, alpha-amylase inhibitor
White kidney bean extract contains compounds that partly inhibit alpha-amylase, the enzyme that breaks down starch. Some starch from a meal may therefore go undigested, which is why it is sold as a "carb blocker".
