Almond protein

Also known as: almond protein powder

Almond protein is finely ground defatted almond flour with a protein content usually around 40–50%. It also provides fibre, vitamin E and magnesium and has a pleasant taste.

What it is used for

  • protein top-up on a plant-based diet – weak evidence, few studies on this protein specifically
  • source of fibre and vitamin E – weak evidence for the powder, better for whole almonds
